We are continuing our great collaboration with the collective of Asian Chambers of Commerce and we are very excited to offer you this next talk together with all of them.
Please join members from Japan to Singapore to Delhi on June 8 at 6pm to 7:15pm, when we have the pleasure of listening to a talk by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Vincent Van Peteghem. The talk will be introduced by the Consul-General of Hong Kong & Macau, Mr. Peter Robberecht.
Minister Van Peteghem is in charge of the Coordination of the Fight against Fraud. He helps to make the government's ambitious recovery plan a reality. An important task is to work out a comprehensive reform of the federal tax system in order to modernise and simplify it and make it fairer. It is his ambition to help build a more prosperous, sustainable, safe and forward-looking society.
With the above in mind, Minister Vincent Van Peteghem is looking forward to talking to you about:
- The approach Belgium has taken to handle the COVID-19 situation, mainly the vaccination program and the recovery plan;
- New financial instruments implemented by the EU, including green finance;
- The relationship between Belgium and Asia and the increase of protectionism.
