Maarten Beelen is the Head of International Desk & Export Finance of Rabobank China since 2018.
Based in Shanghai, Maarten leads a team of specialists responsible to provide bespoke finance solutions to multinational companies. The team is also responsible for the Export Finance product in Greater China. Maarten is also a member of Rabobank China Management Team.
Maarten has over a decade of international banking experience in several sectors.
Maarten has a Master degree of International Economics and Business from University Utrecht.
Michael has nearly two decades of experience working as an Economist and Strategist. In his role, Michael analyses the major developments in the Asia-Pacific region and contributes to the bank’s various economic research publications for internal and external customers and to the media.
Before Rabobank, he was a Director at Silk Road Associates, a strategy consultancy based in Bangkok. Prior to this, he was Senior Economist and Fixed Income Strategist at the Royal Bank of Canada based in both London and Sydney. Michael was formerly also an Economist for Dun & Bradstreet in London, covering ASEAN. Michael holds a Master’s degree in Economics (with distinction) from University College London and speaks Thai.
Based in London, Jan Lambregts oversees a worldwide team of analysts and strategists who cover macro, foreign exchange, fixed income, credit and agri commodities for key clients. Before his move to London in 2009 to head up the global Financial Markets Research team, Jan lived and worked in Singapore and Hong Kong for seven years, covering macro, FX and rates strategy for Rabobank clients, with a particular focus on Japan and China. A frequent speaker and panellist at conferences and roundtables, Jan is also one of Rabobank’s key media spokespeople on developments in financial markets, fulfilling regular interview requests from CNBC, Bloomberg, Reuters and other leading media organisations. A cum laude graduate of Tilburg University in the Netherlands, Jan holds a Master’s degree in micro/macro-economics, with further specialisations in finance and international trade.
