The past year of 2018 witnessed several important new developments in China's intellectual property laws, which have also been the focus of attention for many foreign investors in China.
Standing at one of China's most economically developed areas, the Shanghai Pudong New Area People's Court has presided over intellectual property cases with great significance from both legal and economic perspectives.
For example, in one of the Court's most important decisions in 2018, the Court awarded several million RMB in damages to a Nordic company against two Chinese infringers for their trademark infringement and misrepresentations.
