Iris Pang joined ING in June 2017 as economist for Greater China. She is responsible for the researches on the macro-economic and industry trends in the Mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Research reports from Iris are shared with ING clients on a regular basis. She is also often interviewed by the media and invited to contribute regular commentary.
Before joining ING, Iris held a similar position at Natixis between January 2016 and June 2017. Prior to that, she was with OCBC Wing Hang Bank in a similar role for almost a decade.
Iris holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), Masters in Commerce (first class honours) from the University of Auckland, and a Bachelor degree in Economics from the University of New South Wales.
Iris was an instructor at the Summer School for Applied Econometric of HKUST and taught distance learning programme on Modern China Economy at the Open University of Hong Kong.
Arthur is an experienced senior banker who has over 14 years working experience across Europe and Asia. He is now heading ING's Shanghai Branch, and is also responsible for the MNC Clients of the Bank in China.
Before joining ING, Arthur worked as the co-General Manager in Group Treasury Department, Fosun Group. Prior to Fosun, Arthur was the China Head & Shanghai Branch Manager of ABN AMRO Bank N.V. (Shanghai). Arthur has spearheaded and led the successful buildup of the Shanghai Branch for ABN AMRO, grew the business of ABN AMRO Bank, while ensuring proper governance, sound risk control and “house in order”, as well as realized strong collaboration between the Bank with clients and key commercial partners in China. Arthur spent his earlier years of career in Belgium, working for Fortis Group and BNP Paribas.
Arthur holds a Ph.Ddegree in Applied Economics from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, and he is also a Chartered Financial Analyst.
Cécilia Vermeulen is the General Manager of the Benelux Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai, the BenCham. For 7 years in Shanghai and with a mix background in public and private sector, she is now serving her community with BenCham. She has launched an experts panel program to help BenCham companies to thrive through the coronavirus crisis.
