Roger Bischof is dually-qualified as a lawyer and chartered certified accountant. He is a member of the board of Swiss Chinese Chamber of Commerce (SwissCham) and the Asia Transformation & Turnaround Association (ATTA). Prior to joining Bonnard Lawson as a partner, he was an associate at Baker McKenzie in Singapore and Switzerland as well as a senior consultant corporate finance and senior auditor at Deloitte.

Roger focuses his practice primarily on cross-border restructurings and insolvencies, market entry advice, foreign investment into China, Chinese outward investment, international business structuring, inbound and outbound M&A, PE and VC. With his interdisciplinary background and the substantial experience he has gained in both Asia and Europe, Roger has been involved in a number of complex and high-profile distressed transactions and turnarounds. His commitment to being at the top of the profession is demonstrated by the fact that he was awarded the prestigious designation of ‘Fellow, INSOL International’ besides being a member and executive of various other leading restructuring bodies.

Barry Chen provides overall leadership to InterChina’s corporate finance and M&A advisory practice. He is a member of InterChina’s Management Committee and he is based in the Shanghai office. He advises global Fortune 1,000 multinational and Chinese clients on matters related to acquisitions, divestments, JVs, restructurings and growth strategies. Mr. Chen has over 25 years of M&A, corporate finance and strategic planning experience covering a number of industries including infrastructure/logistics, consumer, technology, healthcare, automotive, manufacturing and financial services. He has worked and lived in China, the United States, Hong Kong, Jamaica, and Poland, leading and advising over 300 acquisition and divestiture transactions globally. He has worked with some of the largest and leading companies in the world including Bystronic, Walmart, Cardinal Health, Roche, Becton Dickinson, Campbell’s Soup, Heinz, JD Power, Electrolux, Getinge, Unilever, DSM, McCormick, Smucker, Lear, Continental, and Tata. Prior to InterChina, Mr. Chen was with PwC, and UPS, working in the function of corporate finance and M&A. He has extensive experience in deal origination and negotiation, evaluating cross-border acquisitions and divestitures, and understands the complexity in structuring, valuing, and integrating the acquired companies. Mr. Chen has extensive contacts in the investment community and various government entities. He has served as a Board member of a number of non-profit organizations, and is currently Chairman of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) China. Founded in 1954, ACG is a global organization with 56 chapters and over 14,500 members worldwide. Mr. Chen graduated from Zhongnan University of Economics and Law Wuhan with a BA degree in Economics and Law. He also holds an MBA degree from the Asian Institute of Management.

He has twenty years of experiencesof advising clients in a wide range of transactions, including private equity deals, M&A, venture investments, strategic alliances, joint ventures, inward investments in China, and U.S. securities offerings. The sectors of those clientele include healthcare, manufacturing, TMT, real estate, banking and financial services.

Dr. Gong is also a frequent speaker and publisher on subjects including M&A, cross-border restructuring and tax planning. He has a S.J.D. and LL.M. from the University of Michigan Law School.

Before joining Zhong Lun, Lefan worked with a major international law firm's Shanghai office as a senior attorney. Prior to that, he also worked with a Wall Street law firm in New York for several years specializing in corporate finance.
