Barry Chen provides overall leadership to InterChina’s corporate finance and M&A advisory practice. He is a member of InterChina’s Management Committee and he is based in the Shanghai office. He advises global Fortune 1,000 multinational and Chinese clients on matters related to acquisitions, divestments, JVs, restructurings and growth strategies. Mr. Chen has over 25 years of M&A, corporate finance and strategic planning experience covering a number of industries including infrastructure/logistics, consumer, technology, healthcare, automotive, manufacturing and financial services. He has worked and lived in China, the United States, Hong Kong, Jamaica, and Poland, leading and advising over 300 acquisition and divestiture transactions globally. He has worked with some of the largest and leading companies in the world including Bystronic, Walmart, Cardinal Health, Roche, Becton Dickinson, Campbell’s Soup, Heinz, JD Power, Electrolux, Getinge, Unilever, DSM, McCormick, Smucker, Lear, Continental, and Tata. Prior to InterChina, Mr. Chen was with PwC, and UPS, working in the function of corporate finance and M&A. He has extensive experience in deal origination and negotiation, evaluating cross-border acquisitions and divestitures, and understands the complexity in structuring, valuing, and integrating the acquired companies. Mr. Chen has extensive contacts in the investment community and various government entities. He has served as a Board member of a number of non-profit organizations, and is currently Chairman of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) China. Founded in 1954, ACG is a global organization with 56 chapters and over 14,500 members worldwide. Mr. Chen graduated from Zhongnan University of Economics and Law Wuhan with a BA degree in Economics and Law. He also holds an MBA degree from the Asian Institute of Management.

Connie He has worked for Buhler for the past 18 years. Besides being Head of HR, she was involved in several joint ventures with state-owned and private companies that Buhler established between 1993 and 2014. Connie participated in the acquisition of a Chinese nutrition flour ingredients company in 2009, in the establishment of a JV in Hefei in 2011 and in a JV in Guangzhou in 2014.

After Bachelor and Master degree study in Switzerland, Mr. Liu served as officer in United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) at Geneva. After years working at UN, he joined Von Roll group and worked at various management functions in both Switzerland and China. In Von Roll he leads company’s investments in China and acquired the world biggest mica products manufacturing group, later he served as General Manager of Von Roll Shenzhen mica group and running the buisness. Currently Mr. Liu is the managing director and legal representative of Weidmann group in China. After decade with Weidmann, now the company has 4 legal entities, 2 manufacturing sites with more than 400 people in China. In the last 10 years, Weidmann not only established new manufacturing sites from ‘green land’, the company also do M&A in order to grow the business. Weidmann just divest from its 24 years old JV in China and now it is further growing the business at its own.

For the same time, Mr. Liu served as vice president of Swisscham board in Shanghai and the national representative of Swisscham China. Mr. Liu married and living with his family in Shanghai.
