David leads PwC’s Growth Markets Centre, which is a global team focused on supporting companies enter and expand into the growth markets. This team brings companies the full benefit of PwC’s global expertise, including Strategy, Operations, Deals, Talent and Tax, to support them successfully navigate these volatile markets throughout their growth markets journey.
David has over 16 years global experience in Management Consulting, Sales and Marketing, having previously worked with leading firms such as ICI and Accenture, before joining PwC. His international experience includes several years living and working with companies in Japan, Europe, Middle East, India and most recently Singapore.
During this time he has supported multi-nationals and mid-sized companies from both developed and growth markets overcome strategic and operational growth issues, including market entry strategies and assessments, partner identification, operating model design, channel management, corporate finance and customer experience. David has served clients from a variety of sectors, including Industrial Products, Retail & Consumer, Telecoms and Electronics from both the developed and emerging markets.
In his previous role, he led PwC’s Indian market entry initiatives, working with global clients to assist them in assessing and identifying growth opportunities within their respective industries in the Indian market.

With 26-years of corporate finance experience, Gabriel heads the PwC China Corporate Finance, and Capital Projects and Infrastructure team of 100 professionals focusing on equity fund raising for Chinese company and lead advising M&A transaction for both foreign direct investment in China and Chinese outbound investment. Gabriel is also the One Belt One Road Leader responsible to develop and execute PwC’s strategy for this China Country’s initiative.
Since 1991, Gabriel has been working in China in international consulting firm, renowned MNCs and investment bank including Arthur Andersen, Anheuser Busch, BNP Peregrine, Chinadotcom Corp. Originally from Hong Kong, Gabriel has lived in Shanghai since 2001.
In the last few years, Gabriel has completed a number of high profile equity fund raising and outbound investment transactions in China, including US$5.6 billion acquisition of GE’s global home appliance business by Qingdao Haier, HK$10.6 billion acquisition of Dah Sing Insurance by Tahoe Investment, acquisition of Japan Sanyo by Qingdao Haier, Rmb 6 billion sale of Fujian Sedrin Brewery to INBEV, US$200 million issuance of new shares of Redstar Macalline Group to Warburg Pincus, HK$1.38 billion acquisition of Yingmao Sugar by Bright Food Group, minority investment of CAH (HK Listco) by Eli Lilly, Rmb 2 billion fund raising of Hubei ReadyPharmaceutical, Lead PPP FA on Rmb 20 billion Chongqing Metro Line 3, PPP FA on Rmb 60 billion Jinan-Qingdao High Speed Railway, Lead PPP FA on Shenzhen International Expo Center, etc.

Gabriel was awarded “The Best Corporate Finance Advisory Service" by China M&A Association in 2009 and 2013, and he won the “Deal of the Year” award in 2016 and he is now the sub-committee member of China M&A Association.
Gabriel received his MBA from Warwick Business School of UK and is a Fellow member of ACCA .
