The Benelux Chamber of Commerce in China is proud to announce the official launch of its ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance) Industry Practice Group (IPG) in Shanghai.
This group brings together a passionate team of sustainability professionals - Tim Klatte, Emmanuel Delplanque, Zola Hong, Liselore Kolff, and Paul van Brenkelen - who are dedicated to supporting Benelux companies in navigating their ESG challenges and accelerating their sustainability journeys in China.

The session will feature an informative talk on "Lessons Learned: ESG Implementation Successes (and Failures) in China", presented by three speakers: Merijn de Bruijn (马林, ELCEE Group), Ludovic Hatat (李伟, Altyor), and Wenhua Zhu (朱文华, Deputy GM of Akila China, Aden Group). The discussion will be followed by a networking lunch with fellow Benelux members and sustainability professionals.

Zola Hong
Zola Hong (洪恺晨) is the Co-founder of Be-Cause (三山二水), a Shanghai-based sustainability consultancy that helps businesses decarbonize and transition toward net-zero strategies and circular business model. With over a decade of experience bridging global and Chinese markets, she has guided more than hundreds of companies in adapting to local contexts and building future-facing brands. Today, her focus is on leveraging technology, data, and AI to reduce Scope 3 emissions, engage stakeholders, and promote responsible consumption. As both an entrepreneur and a mother, she is committed to shaping a sustainable future where business growth goes hand-in-hand with respect for people and the planet.
Emmanuel Delplanque
Emmanuel is Co-founder and CEO of Be-Cause (Shanghai) Environment Technology Co., Ltd. and brings 25+ years of supply chain leadership spanning operations, board-level strategy, and sustainability. He has overseen supply chain budgets exceeding 1 billion RMB in industrial sectors and holds CSSCP (ISCEA) and GHG Auditor certifications. His expertise bridges hands-on execution, ESG-driven transformation, and cross-continental best practices.
Paul van Brenkelen
Paul is the cofounder of EQOLOGIC and is an experienced sustainability and ESG professional with over 30 years of experience. He is a recognized expert and leader in his field and specializes in ESG & corporate governance, sustainability projects, testing, inspection and certification (TIC) projects and start-up management. His latest certification is as ESG Analyst, CESGA 4.1
Liselore Kolff
Liselore is a Strategic ESG advisor at EQOLOGIC and has over a decade of experience in consulting (ex-Deloitte) and industry. She is experienced in leading cross-functional teams within finance, governance and change management, supply chain and hands-on project experience, including being the project manager lead for COP26 at Deloitte. Her latest certification is International Sustainable Business Specialist Level II, IASE.
Tim Klatte
Dr. Tim Klatte is a multilingual expert with over 31 years of China-related experience, currently leading the Shanghai Forensic Advisory Services business for Grant Thornton China. He holds a DBA and an MBA. With extensive experience in Forensic Accounting, Tim has developed and managed forensic advisory services across diverse industries, focusing on compliance operations, risk management, corporate investigations. Dr. Klatte is frequently interviewed in leading compliance journals and often contributes to publications. Tim is also a sought-after conference speaker, sharing his expertise on topics like ESG compliance, fraud risk management, and building sustainable compliance programs in China's evolving business landscape. He is an adjunct professor at NYU and Webster University (Shanghai campuses), teaching CSR, Organizational Ethics, and Project Management courses. Dr. Klatte is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Forensic Interviewer (CFI), and Project Management Professional (PMP).
