Step inside one of China's most important inland logistics hubs.
This Logistics Industry Practice Group (IPG) session offers a unique opportunity for industry professionals to visit Euroports' river terminal in Changshu, one of the largest pulp hubs in the world and a key gateway for cargo flows into the Yangtze River Delta and Central China.
With over 20 years of operations, the terminal has set the benchmark for pulp and paper handling in China, providing a fully integrated supply chain from vessel discharge to inland distribution. Its strategic position along the Yangtze River makes it a critical link between global shipping routes and China's industrial heartland.
During this visit, participants will gain exclusive access to live terminal operations, with the program combining expert insights with a guided on-site tour, offering a rare chance to witness cargo handling, storage, and barge distribution in real time. Attendees will also explore how river terminals enable efficient river-sea multimodal logistics, and how operators are advancing safety, compliance, and ESG initiatives, including LNG-powered barges and electrified equipment.
Designed for logistics, maritime, and supply chain professionals, this IPG session goes beyond presentations, offering direct exposure to operational processes and a platform for peer-to-peer exchange.
A key highlight of the visit is the level of access:participants may have the opportunity to board a vessel during discharge operations, providing a close-up view of how inland and maritime logistics connect in practice.
