    Jonathan Xu is the General Manager at the Benelux Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai, where he has spent the past four years helping rebuild and grow the organization following the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. With more than 10 years of professional experience in China, he has developed a strong network across the Benelux-China business community and plays a key role in strengthening ties between companies from Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, and stakeholders throughout East China. Jonathan has a multi-cultural background, considering both Belgium and China to be his home.

    Fluent in more than five languages, Jonathan works at the intersection of government affairs, corporate engagement, and strategic partnerships, collaborating closely with multinational companies, SMEs, diplomatic missions, and Chinese authorities. He holds an Executive MBA from Vlerick Business School in Brussels, Belgium’s leading business school, and is passionate about fostering international business cooperation and cross-cultural understanding.
