Belgium may be thousands of kilometers away, but for one evening, Shanghai will feel a little closer to home.

The Benelux Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai, together with the Consulate General of Belgium, is delighted to invite you to the 2026 edition of Consul Cafรฉ.

Set in the beautiful garden of the Belgian Consulate, this annual gathering brings together Belgian students, alumni, professionals, entrepreneurs, and families for an informal evening of networking, great conversations, and a taste of Belgium.

This year, we are proud to welcome 101 students and professors from KU Leuven, who will join the Belgian community in Shanghai to discover the local network and connect with Belgians who have built their careers and lives in China.

Guests can look forward to Belgian specialties, refreshing Belgian beers, and a relaxed late-summer atmosphere in one of Shanghai's most unique venues. More than just a networking event, Consul Cafรฉ is a celebration of Belgian culture, hospitality, and the vibrant community that continues to grow in Shanghai.

Whether you've just arrived in the city, have been here for years, or simply want to reconnect with fellow Belgians, we warmly invite you to join us for an unforgettable evening.
