For this CFO Breakfast, we have invited James Macdonald, Senior Director of Research, China at Savills to share his view on the real estate market in China. He will provide insight on the real estate trend in 2026.
The session will focus on key developments shaping China's real estate landscape, including market outlooks across major cities, policy implications, and emerging opportunities relevant to finance leaders. Following the presentation, participants will have the opportunity to engage in an interactive discussion and exchange perspectives with fellow CFOs and senior executives over breakfast in an informal setting.

About the speaker
James Macdonald is the Head of Savills Research, China. Since joining Savills in 2007, James has been actively involved in the growth of the Research department, advising and liaising with numerous international and domestic developers such as Tishman Speyer, SHK, Hines, CRC and Riofisa. He has also advised a number of the more active investment institutions including Treasury Holdings, Grosvenor, Morgan Stanley and SEB, with reports covering a wide variety of developments including mixed and single use projects in Shanghai, Harbin, Nanjing, Beijing, Tianjin, Chengdu, Hangzhou and Guangzhou.
