After a successful first edition in 2023, the Consulate General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Shanghai is organising the Run to Zero once again on 27 October2024. Together with our sponsors: Aegon, dsm-firmenich, ING, Optiver, Rabobank and Robeco, we aim to raise awareness on the importance of carbon neutrality, promote environmental awareness and call on everyone to reduce carbon emissions in their daily life.
Both China and the Netherlands have set ambitious carbon neutrality goals and we as individuals can also play a role in achieving those targets. For this Run to Zero we are cooperating with Shanghai Roots & Shoots who as part of their Million Tree Project will plant trees in Inner Mongolia to combat desertification and carbon emissions. The ticket price includes a running shirt and the full amount of 200RMB will go towards planting trees in Inner Mongolia.
Do note that this event is open only to members of the Benelux Chamber in Shanghai as well as individuals working for Dutch companies in China. We look forward to seeing you on the 27th of October!
